Red Scorpio at CreativeLive

This past weekend, I had the wonderful and unique opportunity to participate in a course at CreativeLive taught by April Bowles-Olin of Blacksburg Belle When I applied, I never imagined I would be chosen, but one of my personalities is wacky and impulsive so I did it anyway. My cautious and premeditated side was scared to death when I got the email saying I had been selected. But 2009 started a bit of a s#¡tstorm in my life that I won’t go into here, and now I kind of have a f^¢k it attitude (sorry for the swears) that life is short and then it’s over, so live it while you can.

I am so glad that I stepped outside of my comfort zone, like way outside. It was such an incredible experience. I met some fabulous people and learned a lot and basically had a great time.

The main reason I blog here and at tinytraileradventures.com is to encourage people to get beyond their fear and discomfort and live life. Don’t fear being creative. Don’t be afraid that you will suck at stuff or look stupid. Nobody cares and if they do then they suck anyway. The people in your life who love you will still love you even if you stick your foot in your mouth once in a while, as long as you’re not being a total a$$hole. Again, sorry for the potty mouth.
