I knew May was going to be hectic. Besides Mother’s Day, we have my daughter’s, ┬ásister’s, sister-in-law’s, and two cousins’ birthdays. Add to that our week-long vacation to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks and my head is already spinning.

Then Tuesday, April 16th, I got an email advising me that I had been accepted as an audience participant in the CreativeLive workshop, “Build a Successful Creative Blog”, being held in San francisco. On May 1st. I was shocked, thrilled and a little freaked out. When I applied for the chance to take part, I never thought I would actually be accepted. Whoa.

I have spent the last few days wrapping my mind around this. First of all, this is “last-minute” travel to me. I plan our vacations months in advance because I like to manage every detail. And I will be filmed. So not only will the event be broadcast live (yikes!) but it will also live on the interwebs forever. This is so far out of my comfort zone, I can’t even see it from here. But YOLO, right? Are they still saying that?

I am not one to back down from a challenge and I love trying new things so I really am looking forward to this. Check it out at CreativeLive, May 1-4.
