Well, it’s down to the wire. I leave for San Francisco tomorrow night, then Thursday morning is the big workshop! Yay! Got my travel plans all nailed down, shirts ready and now I have a super fancy clipboard on which to take my notes. They do sell fancy clipboards at Target, but none of them fit my style, so I got myself a plain one and personalized it. Because that’s how I do.

I printed off a hi-res image of my Red Scorpio design and trimmed it down a little. I just happened to have some full sheet clear labels, but some alternatives would be to print a full sheet label, or Mod Podge or spray mount your  printed image onto your clipboard.

You could also use clear packing tape if you are able to apply it verrry carefully. I am way too spazzy for that. I was lucky to even get the clear label sheet on properly, but I just took my time and really concentrated and I got it on pretty straight with only one minor wrinkle.

Then I decorated the edges with some awesome duct tape. I love this stuff! I have like 5 rolls of it in different patterns. One day I will make a duct tape wallet, but not today.

Ok, clipboard looks beautiful, but the pad of paper I bought has a green stripe across the top and that will not do. More duct tape. I think I will do this to all my pads from now on. It took less than one minute and the results are super cute.

Done! Now I just need to pack and I am ready to go kick ass in SF!!
