I posted about my love of pop-ups a while back and linked to a tutorial to an amazing pop-up flower bouquet card that is simple to make and incredibly impressive, and what do you know, Ms. Martha Stewart puts a tutorial on her website for this same card! I must finally be an influencer. Feels great.
Here is Martha’s tutorial which is actually a little easier than the original one I posted, because Martha breaks it down into steps. She’s so awesome. The original tutorial by Golics is a video only, and the first time I made the card I had to watch it like 3 times and rewind and pause after each step. The tutorial calls for “text paper” which is a weirdly fancy way of saying “copy paper”. They use different colors of paper to make theirs but if you only have white, you can color your flowers with markers.
UPDATE: Golics video has been taken down or something. It won’t play on Instructables or Metacafe. What a bummer! And when you click the “Watch The Video” link on Martha’s page, it just takes you to the Mother’s Day crafts page. But never fear, the photo tutorial by Martha Stewart is clear enough to show you how to make the card without a video. If you have any problems, leave a comment and I’ll do my best to help. Tip: Golics uses glue and Martha uses tape, but I think that glue dots (like for scrapbooking) work best. This project takes a bit of effort, lots of folding and cutting, but your Mom is worth it. And she will love you for it! Notice there is no picture of my final card. Click here to read why.
